* VMID measuring points are coupling parts made of magnetic stainless steel which contain a unique digital serial number. It is read by a contact in the sensor base and transmitted via the sensor cable to a VMID compatible instrument. VMID simplifies measurements at a large number of points and helps to manage measuring routes. Please contact Metra for support when you are interested in designing your own VMID instruments.
